Layfield has constructed numerous hazardous waste landfill cells including base liners with up to 8 layers of geosynthetics. Our installation crews are fully trained in the construction of all types of geosynthetics including base liners, drainage layers, and landfill caps.
Layfield's featured service for hazardous landfills is our leak inspection service. This specialized technique allows us to survey each layer of liner that is installed to make sure that there is no undiscovered construction damage prior to service. This is especially important with landfills since damage can occur during backfill with protective soil. Our soil survey technique can isolate leaks caused by backfill long before they become a problem in service.
