Layfield has a number of key services for bridges and overpass markets. A key service is our design support for your mechanically stabilized earthen walls and embankements (MSE walls). We will help you design MSE walls and embankments for your grade separations or bridge abutments. We also supply reinforcement products such as geogrids and geotextiles, and supply a wide selection of road construction geosynthetics.
Our featured service for bridges and overpasses is our installation service for vertical wick drains. Prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs or wick drains) are punched into soft soils to provide drainage and to speed consolidation of foundations. This is especially important in bridge abutments and embankment construction. Wick drains can speed consolidation and help accelerate your construction schedule.
